Last Show with Third Day!

Well, this is the last blog I get to write for Thirdday.com (my home page). My last show with the greatest band in the world took place tonight in Albuquerque (dont worry…I looked it up and that’s how to spell it). And they really are the greatest band in the world but enough about Tenth Ave. North. Just kidding.

I met Third Day in 1997 on the Newsboy’s “Take Me To Your Leader Tour” and the number 1 question I get all the time is this: How did you get so muscular? (Hey…this is my last blog so I’m allowed to make up stuff) Ok. Actually the Number 1 question I get is this: What are the guys from Third Day like? And I’m proud to say they are exactly what you’d think they are like. They are awesome. They are the same guys off the stage that you see on stage…Amazing Christian guys that have been blessed with awesome talents who use those talents to glorify the One that gave it to them. In short, there’s a reason I’m not just friends with them but a huge fan. These guys continue to put out the best music backed up with the best tours across the country. I’m honored to share the stage with guys who have remained the same as when I met them 13 years ago…only with better production.

Tonight I sat out in the packed out crowd and watched their entire set…a set I’ve seen many times in the past two months and was still drawn into a worship experience like none other. This was the perfect night to end my run with them because they did an after show concert for me. Actually there was about 150 other people at the extra show but I’m pretty sure they just did it for me. I filmed a lot of the “after show concert” and will try to get it loaded on my facebook page when I’m not using dial up. (Hey…the hotel I’m in is cheap for a reason!)

Anyway, these guys continue to try and give fans a unique worship experience and tonight in Albuquerque was no exception. So I’d like to end this by giving a big thank you to the band that invited me along on a great ride this fall.
You guys are awesome! As a side note, I got to listen to some of the songs they are working on for their new album and let me just end by saying the best is yet to come!
